Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Harrison charges to fifth top 10 of the season in Colorado
Pro Circuit press release:
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Mitchell Harrison collected another top-10 finish at Thunder Valley MX Park at the penultimate round of the Pro Motocross series, bringing his total to five for the season with his eighth-place overall finish. With the season winding down, Harrison continued to prove he is capable of showing speed and producing solid results, even in challenging conditions like altitude. Teammate Cameron McAdoo had high hopes entering the weekend, but went down in Moto 1 and injured his hand, forcing him to retire from the race early.
The day started out on a great note for Harrison who grabbed his first holeshot of the season in Moto 1. It was a three-way drag race to the line and Harrison settled into third on the opening lap. Trying to find his groove on the technical, hard-packed track, he made his way to eighth at the end of the moto. While he wasn’t able to repeat his start from the opening moto, Harrison still managed to put his Kawasaki KX250 into the top-10 at the start of Moto 2. He found himself as high as seventh before crossing the finish line in ninth to give him eighth overall.
“The track was definitely different than what we’ve been riding on the past few weeks, but we were up for the challenge,” said Harrison. “I was so pumped to get the holeshot in the first moto. I just didn’t find a groove right away and the track was challenging. They put down water and you had to be really cautious those first few laps. Overall it was a solid day, but I want more. I want that top-five. We’ll see how it goes next week with one more chance to try.”
