Energy drink partners with in-house GasGas Factory Racing for 2025.
GasGas Factory Racing has firmed its future in the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) after making its alliance with Rockstar Energy official, taking the factory team completely in-house following four seasons with Troy Lee Designs.
A collaboration between GasGas and Rockstar had been teased late last week – including cameos from Ryder DiFrancesco and Justin Barcia – and now it’s formally been announced.
GasGas will continue in Supercross, Pro Motocross and the SMX post-season under the revised arrangement, forming a newfound partnership with Rockstar Energy, which will come in addition to the Austrian-operated manufacturer’s Rockstar Energy Husqvarna and Red Bull KTM organizations.
“Rockstar Energy is excited to officially partner with the GasGas team for the 2025 season, expanding our footprint in SuperMotocross and further deepening our connection to the sport,” says Steve Mateus, director of sports marketing at PepsiCo.
“Motorsports, particularly supercross and motocross, have always been central to Rockstar’s brand legacy. This partnership with the KTM Group is not only true to our roots, but also represents a powerful step forward as we look to energize and connect with fans on and off the track.”
Since first entering the Supercross in 2021 with the TLD-led effort, GasGas Factory Racing has achieved its share of podium-topping success on multiple occasions, first with Barcia winning the 450SX main event on debut at Houston that season, and most recently with Pierce Brown picking up the final 250SMX victory of the 2024 season in Las Vegas.
