Triumph Racing and Evan Ferry have mutually agreed to part ways with immediate effect. The team announced this morning that each party agreed to the split and Ferry will no longer work with the team moving forward.

“It is with regret that Evan Ferry will no-longer race for Triumph Racing in the SuperMotocross World Championship,” said Triumph Racing. “Evan joined the team during the creation of the global motocross project, a historic step into a new segment for Triumph, which included the development of the all-new TF 250-X. The British manufacturer has supported the 19-year-old throughout his time in the lead-up to the launch of the new US Racing team, and brought in a number of seasoned professionals as part of the program. Despite the efforts of Triumph Racing to support Evan and adapt the program for the remainder of his rookie year, including the offer of focussing on the Pro Motocross series, Evan has decided that he will step away from the team.”

Ferry made his professional racing debut with Triumph at this year’s Detroit Supercross where he won the Last Chance Qualifier, but did not finish the main event due to a first turn crash. Then Ferry crashed during press day for the following round at Arlington and has not returned to racing since.

The team had signed Ferry to a deal this season that was expected to carry him through the entirely of the SuperMotocross World Championship, including AMA Pro Motocross, and the SuperMotocross Playoff races. Now Triumph Racing will continue through the rest of Monster Energy Supercross with Jalek Swoll before Joey Savatgy joins the team in what will now be just a two-rider effort for AMA Pro Motocross.
