New generation line-up of motocross models break cover.
The covers have been taken off of the new generation 2024 GasGas MC range, marking a series of advancements across both the four-stroke and two-stroke model line-ups.
To GasGas, it doesn’t really matter if you ride motocross for fun or race to win. What matters most is making sure that all five of the new bikes deliver the very best performance for guaranteed good times in the dirt.
For 2024, the brand is really turning up the heat in the moto scene. Starting with its little two-stroke ripper – the beloved MC 125 – through to the race-winning MC 450F four-stroke, GasGas has a bike to suit all types of riders.
Each GasGas has been assembled using new steel frames, new aluminum sub-frames and new swingarms, which makes for the ideal combination of razor-sharp cornering and straight-line stability. Those traits have been further refined to maximize the fun factor.
The new frames feature an improved anti-squat behavior for maximum traction when exiting corners. Throughout the frame, the wall thickness has been revised in certain areas to improve rider feedback and energy absorption, combined with the sub-frames and swingarms for a lighter, stiffer feel.
Every full size GasGas motocross model is equipped with improved 48mm WP XACT forks for 2024. Easily adjustable by hand on the outside, on the inside, there are revised settings which are refined to work with the new frame. New forged triple clamps also feature, with a new steering stem that offers a little more flex for improved comfort.
The redesigned WP XACT rear shock is shorter and lighter than the old version, but still offers 300mm of travel. Inside there’s a new piston, improving initial comfort and helping to stay up higher in the stroke, especially when under hard acceleration.
In addition, there’s the high-performance Braktec hydraulic clutch system, unique Braktec brakes with updated calipers, Neken handlebars, bigger footpegs, and new to GasGas is an hour meter.
In line with the current KTM and Husqvarna Motorcycles ranges from Pierer Mobility, accross the board, all 2024 models are now powered by new, lighter motors, which produce both more torque and more high-revving power than ever before.
And to bring the MC 125 and MC 250 two-strokes up to date, both bikes fire into life with the simple press of the new electric start button, and they’re now fueled by cutting-edge Throttle Body Injection for a crisper response and much-improved on-track performance.
They’re then fitted neatly inside the latest specification chassis with a slight backward tilt to lower the front sprocket, centralize the weight, and to enhance handling characteristics across the board. Plus, the rider triangle has been improved for larger contact areas and control.
For 2024, the GasGas motocross range will include the MC 450F, MC 350F, MC 250F, MC 250 and MC 125, making for a five-strong roster that are fully-developed to Get On The Gas.
