250MX return of Hammaker also confirmed for round five.
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson is set for his first Pro Motocross outing of the 2023 season this Saturday at RedBud while Seth Hammaker will also return to action in 250MX.
Anderson has been sidelined from competition since the final two rounds of 450SX this year after it was revealed he sustained a non-displaced fracture in his C5-C6 during a practice crash at Nashville.
The number 21 has spent time back on the bike this month ahead of his return at round five and is currently eighth in the 450SMX standings as he looks to secure more points before the SuperMotocross Championship (SMX) post-season.
Hammaker suffered a broken arm and left scaphoid in the lead-up to the 250SX East opener in Houston and required surgery to repair the damage, with RedBud to mark his first gate drop in the 2023 season.
Crucially, only the top 30 riders will get a shot at the SMX playoffs, with Hammaker needing to score important points in the remaining motos to ensure he earns his ticket into the post-season.
Confirming both riders this weekend at RedBud, a statement from Kawasaki read: “Welcome back Jason Anderson and Seth Hammaker, see you Saturday.”
