A Road 2 Recovery fund has been established for Swiss rider Killian Auberson after he was seriously injured while practicing in Utah earlier this week.

Gas Monkey Energy/AJE Motorsports Racing’s Auberson was preparing ahead of this weekend’s 2020 Monster Energy Supercross finals when the incident occurred.

Auberson underwent surgery on Tuesday evening to repair the fractured T3 vertebra in his neck and to remove a bone spur that was putting pressure on his spinal cord. He is in stable condition and recovering at a hospital nearby.

Unfortunately, it is understood that Auberson is currently suffering paralysis from the chest down due to the excessive swelling and damage to his spinal cord.

It is expected that he will have an extended stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with plans for air transport back to his home town in Switzerland for additional medical treatment once he is stable enough to travel.

Auberson’s medical bills are anticipated to be substantial even after his insurance is applied, therefore, the Road 2 Recovery Foundation has opened a fundraising campaign to assist with medical bills. If you are able to, donations are welcomed at Killian’s R2R fund, where you are also able to leave a message of support.
