Another 7-3 scorecard for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider at Hangtown.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tom Vialle has outlined the need to improve his opening motos after he was notably stronger in the final race for a second consecutive week at Hangtown.
Vialle opened his first season in 250MX with a 7-3 scorecard at Fox Raceway, his lower score in the opening moto ultimately costing him an overall podium on the day.
The 2020 and 2022 MX2 world champion qualified in seventh position at Hangtown and dropped to a P7 finish after a strong start to race one. An improved outing in moto two saw Vialle make his way inside the top three throughout the opening half of the bout to take the chequered flag in third position, again notching a 7-3 scorecard for fourth overall.
“Same as last weekend with 7-3 results, so I just need to improve the first motos,” Vialle explained. “I was top three in the opening moto, but just lost my rhythm, and then the second moto was much better. We’ll go back to Florida, do more training, and then come out and fight for the podium at Thunder Valley.”
Round three of the 2023 Pro Motocross Championship takes place this Saturday, with Vialle entering Thunder Valley fourth in the 250MX standings, 22 points back from red plate-holder Hunter Lawrence (Team Honda HRC).
