250MX qualifying:
Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing’s Justin Cooper topped both qualifying sessions in the 250MX class, but it was his first-session time that was the clear standout. His quickest lap of 2m08.584s was almost 1.6s faster than that of second-placed Jett Lawrence (Team Honda HRC), and set the standard for the rest of the field. Lawrence’s older brother, Hunter (Team Honda HRC) posted the third-quickest qualifying lap, ahead of Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing rookie Nate Thrasher, with TLD Red Bull KTM’s Michael Mosiman rounding out the top five. KTM privateer Ty Masterpool logged the sixth-quickest lap, ahead of Stilez Robertson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna), Jo Shimoda (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki), Max Vohland (Red Bull KTM) and Seth Hammaker (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki). All lap-times between P2 and P10 were within 1.5 seconds.

450MX qualifying:
Some track work between the first and sessions saw everyone better their times in the second outing, but it was Team Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton who stormed to the top of the lap charts in Qualifying 2. His time of 2m.06.351s was just half a second clear of his team-mate, Ken Roczen, who registered a quickest lap of 2m06.513s. The two Honda riders were almost two seconds clear of third-placed Jason Anderson (Monster Energy Kawasaki) and Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing’s Eli Tomac, who topped the first qualifying session. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Joey Savatgy put in an impressive lap to qualify fifth, ahead of hometown hero, Ryan Dungey (Red Bull KTM). Aaron Plessinger (Red Bull KTM), Christian Craig (Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing), Max Anstie (Fire Power Honda) and Justin Barcia (TLD Red Bull GasGas) completed the top 10.

250MX moto one:
Team Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence took the win of the opening 250MX moto after another race-long battle with his brother and team-mate, Hunter Lawrence. Jett grabbed the holeshot, with Justin Cooper (Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing) and Hunter in hot pursuit. Cooper would slide into the lead early, but lost his front wheel in a rut several corners later, going down and holding up Jett in the process. Hunter capitalised by taking the lead, but it was short-lived as Jett aught and passed him two three laps later. Hunter refused to give up and again got by his younger brother and pulled out a two-second lap. With two laps remaining, Jett cut the advantage, then capitalised when Hunter was held up by lapped riders to take the lead and a narrow 0.5s win. Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Jo Shimoda recovered impressively from a mid-pack start to finish a distant third, after a last-lap pass on Max Vohland (Red Bull KTM). AMA Pro Racing’s timing and scoring is currently down, but we’ll confirm the remaining top 10 positions once they’re available.

450MX moto one:
Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing’s Eli Tomac made it six race wins in a row after a good battle with Team Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton in the opening 450MX moto. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Joey Savatgy scored the holeshot, but Tomac quickly jumped into the lead, with Ryan Dungey (Red Bull KTM) and Sexton third and fourth. Sexton was able to capitalise on errors by Dungey and Savatgy to promote himself into second, then set off after Tomac. At the mid-point of the race Sexton closed the gap and passed Tomac for the lead, but just as he began to check out, he crashed at bottom of one of the Spring Creek hills and let Tomac back into the lead. Tomac went on to take a comfortable 14-second win over Sexton. Jason Anderson (Monster Energy Kawasaki) held off Dungey for third, as Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing’s Christian Craig rounded out the top five. Justin Barcia (TLD Red Bull GasGas) and Aaron Plessinger (Red Bull KTM) crossed the line in sixth and seventh. Max Anstie (Fire Power Honda), and BBMX KTM riders Benny Bloss and Fredrik Noren completed the top 10.

250MX moto two:
Jett Lawrence comfortably won the second 250MX moto to score another 1-1 round result and build his championship lead. After a red-flag restart, Justin Cooper jumped to the holeshot, followed by Jett Lawrence and Jo Shimoda. Hunter Lawrence, who had led the race before it was red-flagged, found himself in ninth after the restart, but struggled to work his way through the pack. Up front, Jett passed Cooper for the lead on the third lap and began to build a buffer, while Shimoda threw everything at Cooper for several laps, eventually finding an opening and moving into second with half of the race remaining. Back in the pack, Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing team-mates Nate Thrasher and Nick Romano had a spectacular mid-air crash that took them both out of the top 10. The margins between Lawrence, Shimoda and Cooper stabilized as the laps wore down and they would cross the line in that order, with Jett finishing 7.9 seconds ahead of Shimoda. Hampshire finished fourth, ahead of Hunter Lawrence. P6-P10 were filled by Max Vohland, Seth Hammaker, Ryder DiFrancesco (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki), Pierce Brown (TLD Red Bull KTM) and Carson Mumford (Bar X Suzuki).

450MX moto two:
Tomac claimed the second 450MX moto victory after a gritty battle with Sexton. Savatgy again scored the holeshot with Sexton and Roczen right behind him. Sexton, Roczen and Tomac quickly dispatched of the Kawasaki rider, before Tomac went into beast-mode, worked his way past Roczen on the third lap, then closing the two-second gap to Sexton. A lap later Tomac surged into the lead and tried to sprint away, while behind them, Christian Craig ground away at Roczen, eventually taking P3 midway through the moto, before Anderson also found his way past the Honda rider a lap later. Despite the laps wearing down, Sexton refused to give up and continued to bring the battle to Tomac, keeping the gap between one and two seconds for the rest of the race. Tomac was able to keep Sexton at bay, though, and took the win, with the pair finishing more than 44 seconds ahead of Craig, with Anderson fourth and Barcia fifth. Dungey, Plessinger, Savatgy, Garrett Marchbanks (Muc-Off FXR ClubMX Yamaha) and Bloss rounded out top 10.
