Broken sternum and internal bleeding sustained in fall.
Following a heavy fall during the opening lap of the first 250MX moto at Fox Raceway, a disappointed Cameron McAdoo has revealed the extent of his injuries that will devastatingly sideline him for the upcoming rounds.
McAdoo broke his sternum in the crash and also suffered some bleeding in the lungs, a crushing blow for the 24-year-old after his 2022 250SX campaign was also shortened due to injury.
“I had a crash on lap one of the first moto yesterday which resulted in a broken sternum and some bleeding on my lungs,” McAdoo explained. “I am more than disappointed as my team and I put in lots of work heading into outdoors and were really looking forward to the summer.
“Sometimes it’s very hard not to ask ‘why’ or get down on myself in this situation but I’m going to take responsibility and keep pushing forward. I can’t wait to be back out there later this summer.”
No return date has been specified for McAdoo, with Jo Shimoda, Austin Forkner and Seth Hammaker representing Monster Energy Kawasaki in 250MX as he joins Jett Reynolds on the sidelines who is still healing from a broken wrist sustained earlier in Supercross. Round two of the 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship takes place this Saturday at Hangtown.
