Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider finishes sixth in Tampa main event.
A sixth-place finish for Dean Wilson came as his best of the year in Tampa, seven rounds into the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross season.
The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider has been racing himself back into contention through the first half of the series after a hip injury caused him to miss much of the pre-season.
“The main event went pretty good and I think it was a step in the right direction,” Wilson said.
“It’s been pretty tough coming back from injury to a class that’s so stacked. I’ve been pushing through and it’s nice to see a half-decent result. I’m going to use this for next weekend and build off of it and keep it going.”
Wilson’s previous high came with a seventh in Oakland two weeks prior, however, he has managed to record a consistent run of results to sit 12th in the standings as the midway point approaches.
