TLD Red Bull GasGas team potentially out for round nine.
Pierce Brown has confirmed that he sustained a fractured collarbone and a concussion in his second moto crash at Unadilla, sidelining him for the foreseeable future.
The TLD Red Bull GasGas team arrived at the eighth round of the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship with Brown as their lone participant, after announcing 450 rider Justin Barcia and 250 rider Michael Mosiman were both injured during the two-week break in action.
Brown hit the ground hard in the second moto and has now confirmed that he’ll be sidelined from action with a fractured collarbone and a concussion he sustained in the mishap.
“Little update for you guys, had a crash last weekend at Unadilla that cost me a fractured collarbone and a concussion,” Brown explained. “Bummed but it’s the way things go sometimes. My main goal now is to get back to 100%. Big thanks to the people around me for still believing and supporting.”
It’s unclear whether the team will field any riders in this weekend’s ninth round of the season at Budds Creek, with Barcia reportedly out until at least the second to last round, and Mosiman’s status unknown.
