After Coronavirus canceled the 2020 X Games, the spectacle returned to action last week with all of the Moto X competitions happening behind closed doors at Axell Hodges ‘Slayground.’

The Moto X portion of this year’s X Games consisted of five events, Best Whip, Best Trick, Freestyle, Quarter Pipe, and an all-new pit bike discipline, Moto X 110s.

Luc Ackerman shined in his return to X Games, grabbing gold in the Moto X Freestyle category, launching multiple double back flips and a 360 to capture the top spot on the podium ahead of Josh Sheehan and Rob Adelberg who took home silver and bronze.

In Moto X Best Whip, it was Tom Parsons’ whips in both directions that won the judges over and brought him his fourth medal in Best Whip and second gold. Genki ‘Wanky’ Wantanabe captured his third Best Whip medal with Silver, while 2019 gold medalist Tyler Bereman rounded out the top three.

Axell Hodges took home the inaugural gold in the first-ever pit bike discipline at X Games, MotoX 110’s. Hodges battled with Colby Raha for the top spot, eventually taking home the win on home soil.

Raha battled back when it came time for Moto X QuarterPipe High Air, launching himself to a new height record in the discipline with 40’9″ in his second run to capture the gold. Hodges tried to best it throughout the contest, eventually taking home silver with 39’2″ as his best, ahead of Bereman with 37′ in third.

In Best Trick it was Rob Adelberg with his no-handed front flip helping him secure his fifth X Games gold and 13th medal in Moto X. David Rinaldo and Harry Bink took home silver and bronze with both riders scoring runs above 90.00.
