Round seven has kicked off on a drying track at Camping World Stadium.
The Monster Energy Supercross series has kicked off its stay at Camping World Stadium, with Adam Cianciarulo and Christian Craig taking the top spots during qualifying in Orlando.
Rain swept through the Orlando area early in the day, soaking the track and causing a condensed schedule. The AMA made the decision to cancel the untimed practice sessions, in an effort to give the track crew ample time to uncover and prepare the track. The sun came out and action got underway on a surprisingly decent racing surface.
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo emerged as the front runner after the opening two sessions of the day, with a 50.711s lap. Cooper Webb worked his way into the second spot, ending the session a mere 0.008s off the top time.
Malcolm Stewart carried his momentum from last week into today, rounding out the top three as the clock hit zero on the session. Fourth place went to Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki) with his 51.060s lap, followed closely by points-leader Ken Roczen (Team Honda HRC) who completed the top five.

Justin Barcia (TLD Red Bull GasGas) was ninth, just over a full second off Cianciarulo, as the final spot in the top 10 went to Benny Bloss (MotoConcepts Honda).
After landing on the podium last week, Marvin Musquin (Red Bull KTM) found himself well outside the top 10, finishing back in 16th place with a 52.065.
Christian Craig (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha) finished the final 250SX East qualifying session of the day on top of the timesheets, with a 52.422s lap. He was followed closely by his teammate and red-plate holder Colt Nichols, who ended the session with a 52.710s.
The lead duo head to the final night of racing before the series switches to the 250SX West series with just six points separating them.

Jo Shimoda (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) was the first rider in the 53-second range.
