Wilson in at Honda HRC for final five Supercross rounds
Set to debut factory CRF450RWE in Philadelphia next weekend.
Honda HRC Progressive will call upon Dean Wilson to enter the final five rounds of Monster Energy Supercross 2025, marking the experienced international’s first 450SX appearance of the year in place of the Lawrence brothers.
A knee injury sustained in Glendale ruled Jett Lawrence out of his title defense, before a crash in his heat race at Tampa saw Hunter Lawrence exit with ligament damage and fractures to his shoulder.
Wilson, meanwhile, clinched the Arenacross British Championship in February following a dominant performance as part of a wider international schedule aboard Honda machinery. In addition, he also won the Australian SX1 tittle in 2023 and has experienced success in Brazil over the past 12 months, alongside ongoing World Supercross commitments.
The opportunity to fill in at American Honda’s factory organization is a rare one for the 33-year-old free-agent, with the confirmation combining this afternoon via Wilson himself – not an April Fools stunt – as ‘Grandpa Earl’. His first appearance will come in Philadelphia on April 12.
