Able to salvage a strong haul of points despite crash in qualifying.
A shoulder dislocation in qualifying impacted Julien Beaumer’s performance in the Arlington Triple Crown, salvaging sixth overall to remain in 250SX West title contention.
The Red Bull KTM rider managed to race-on with the injury after qualifying third quickest, recording 6-8-4 finishes across the three-race format.
“Tough night in Arlington,” recalled Beaumer. “A crash in practice dislocated my shoulder and I just had to manage things from there. My riding wasn’t the greatest, but all we can do is shift our focus and get ready for Indy. We’ll get the shoulder checked out this week, get back to work, and come out swinging.”
With the eastern division resuming next weekend in Daytona, Beaumer will have two weeks to recover before the gates drop on the first 250SX East/West Showdown of the year in Indianapolis on March 8. He’s currently six points outside of red plate-holder Haiden Deegan (Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing).
