Racing against time to make the 2025 Pro Motocross opener.
Shoulder surgery will spell the end of Jorge Prado’s rookie season in 450SX, with a return date yet to be determined.
After clinching back-to-back MXGP World Championship titles, Prado signed with Monster Energy Kawasaki to enter SuperMotocross for 2025.
Prado finished Anaheim 1 in 14th and San Diego in 12th, but was injured in qualifying at Anaheim 2 last weekend and forced out of round three. Now, he’s announced his season indoors is over altogether.
“Bad news,” the 24-year-old Spaniard confirmed. “Surgery is needed to fix my shoulder and I will be out for the rest of the Supercross season. Time of rehab is unknown and hopefully I can make it to the start of outdoors – I will be back strong like I always do.”
The beginning of the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship is almost four months away, scheduled for Fox Raceway in Pala, California, on Saturday, May 24.
