World Supercross will expand to host events in Buenos Aires and London next year, as part of the SX Global-led series’ expansion plans leading into the 2025 season.

Rounds in Argentina and the United Kingdom were announced today directly after Abu Dhabi’s title-deciding finale, where Eli Tomac and Shane McElrath clinched this year’s championships.

While a wider calendar is yet to be revealed, it’s expected that the World Supercross Championship (WSX) could feature as many as seven rounds next season. This year it visited Canada, Perth for a double-header weekend in Australia, and concluded on Yas Island.

Tom Burwell, Chief Executive Officer at WSX, said: “Expanding WSX to new cities like Buenos Aires and London marks a defining moment for the championship,” SX Global CEO Tom Burwell said. “The world’s best supercross riders racing in these iconic cities reflects our commitment to growing the sport globally and delivering unforgettable experiences to fans everywhere.

“Bringing WSX to Latin America, with its vibrant culture and passionate supercross fanbase, has been a goal from the moment we took the reins of the championship earlier this year. London, with its world-class facilities and rich sporting legacy, is another perfect destination for WSX. We can’t wait to witness the incredible energy of fans in both cities and experience the electric atmosphere they’ll bring to the track.”

The Argentina round held in a partnership with EDV Entertainment will be staged at a brand new state-of-the-art stadium due to open in the new year, while the UK round will take place at London Stadium, building upon previous events in the region at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium (2022) and Birmingham’s Villa Park (2023).
