Rookie Julien Beaumer has been cleared of any major injuries after his crash scare at Southwick in 250MX moto two, but isn’t certain if he will be able to line up at RedBud next weekend.

Red Bull KTM signing Beaumer is expected to enter the AMA concussion protocol this week, before it is determined whether or not he will be fit to enter round six of the 2024 season.

“It was a tough first moto,” the teenager reflected on Saturday afternoon. “I crashed in the first turn and then made a good comeback, but crashed late in the moto again and lost my goggles.

“In moto two, I made a bad start, then unfortunately got tagged by another rider as I went down, and was run over. I spent some time in the medical unit, but am happy to be healthy, so we will see the neurologist this week and see if we’re able to race next weekend.”

Beaumer qualified strongly in eighth position, but a first turn incident and another late fall saw him finish 18th in moto one, before he unfortunately crashed out of the second race altogether. He will now seek further medical attention, according to the team, and is now positioned 11th in the standings.
