Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing have announced the signing of Max Anstie to a multi-year deal that will see the British rider debut for the team at the upcoming Southwick round of AMA Pro Motocross.

The deal comes just one day after Anstie announced his departure from Fire Power Honda following a successful year and a half with the team. It had been rumored for some time that Anstie was linked to Star Racing for a deal in 2025, but the duo pulled the deal off sooner to get Anstie back behind the gate aboard a Yamaha.

“This marks a new chapter in my career and one that I’m motivated to take full advantage of,” said Anstie. “I’ve got unfinished business in the United States, especially in Pro Motocross, and I know that Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing will help me tick those boxes. From Southwick on, we’ll start taking steps to understand the YZ250F in order to make a title run in 2025. I’ve never felt more ready.”

This will be Anstie’s second tenure with the Star Racing team after he raced for the program in 2010 in Monster Energy Supercross and Pro Motocross. The team is still shuffling things around as they plan for 2025, but they are excited to get working with Anstie right away.

“We’re happy to have Max join the team and make his debut with us next weekend at Southwick,” said team manager Jensen Hendler. “We feel he’s a championship contender and will be a great addition to our program. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do aboard our YZ250Fs the rest of this season and beyond.”
