Will stay with Cianciarulo at Monster Energy Kawasaki on new KX450.
Monster Energy Kawasaki and Jason Anderson have extended their contract into the 2024 season, set to partner Adam Cianciarulo onboard the all-new KX450.
Anderson, 30, broke the news following the Los Angeles at the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) final that he had signed with Kawasaki for a further two years.
Today’s 2024 team announcement didn’t specify Anderson’s latest contract terms, but did confirm that he will race-on at Team Green into next year, which will mark the 2018 450SX champion’s third season at Kawasaki. Cianciarulo was already under contract for another season.
“Kawi has given me a couple of [additional] years and I’m looking forward to working my butt off, and having success with them in the future,” Anderson told MotoOnline. “It’s something I would like to hang my hat on, on having a great end to… or two years. When we get past that we will see if we keep going.”
An injury-affected Monster Energy Supercross campaign this year saw him finish sixth in the final point-standings, before claiming P9 in Pro Motocross and eighth overall in the SMX Finals series.
