Supercross/motocross legends Ricky Carmichael and Jeff Stanton turned a series of demonstration laps in Los Angeles onboard the new Triumph that will enter the 250 class of the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) in 2024.

Carmichael has been part of the development team with the British brand, recently unveiling the Triumph motocross contender online ahead of its entry next year.

The SMX Finals in LA marked Triumph’s first official public appearance following an extended shakedown session on Friday afternoon, where both Carmichael and Stanton were on-track together to prepare for Saturday evening’s official introduction in between the motos.

“I’m so happy to finally show the fans what we’ve been working on for the past four years,” Carmichael said. “The bikes feels great, it looks great, and it’s fast. I’m really pleased with what we’ve delivered and I can’t wait until we can share the final details on November 28th.”

Stanton, meanwhile, is the current manager of Triumph’s Adventure Experience in the US, and was onboard what appeared to be a production-specification model that’s due for its official unveil at the end of November.

“The Coliseum is a special place for me and to be back here on the Triumph is an absolutely honor for me,” commented Stanton. “The new graphics look like nothing else in the paddock and give the bike a really sharp and distinctive new look that I think the fans are going to love.”

Triumph Racing will field a 250 team in both SMX – including Monster Energy Supercross and Pro Motocross – and the MXGP series from 2024, before introducing a 450 program at the beginning of 2025. It’s unclear when production models will be produced and released.
