After completing his 250MX debut at Budds Creek, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Casey Cochran said ‘there are definitely things to go back and work on’ post-race.

Cochran, 17, was drafted into the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team for the final two rounds of the 2023 Pro Motocross Championship, however, isn’t expected to be going full-time into the professional ranks at this point.

The FC 250 rider qualified 24th in Maryland and rode to 19-23 results across the two motos, landing him 22nd overall after running inside the top 15 for multiple laps in the final outing. He’s confident of making progress leading into Ironman’s finals this weekend.

“Budds Creek was alright,” Cochran said. “It was a learning experience, for sure. There are definitely things to go back and work on so that I can come out next weekend and show up where I believe I should be. I ran pretty good in the second moto, but I just hit a wall. That’s what we need to work on and we’ll be better next weekend.”

Cochrane – who achieved three Supercross Futures podiums including a win at Salt Lake City for the 2023 title earlier this year – will get his next shot at 250MX this Saturday when gates drop on the final round of the season at Ironman Raceway.
