The signing of Colt Nichols to the Liqui Moly Beta Racing Team has been officially confirmed and he has inked a two-year deal to compete in 450SX through the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

The deal was recently teased by the outfit with confirmation now that Nichols will line-up alongside Benny Bloss in the inaugural Supercross season for Beta Motorcycles.

“I’m very excited to be signed with the Liqui Moly Beta Racing Team for the 24’ and 25’ seasons,” said Nichols. “It means a lot to me to be able to pioneer a new brand coming into Supercross and I’m going to represent this brand/team as best as I possibly can. Couldn’t be happier and I can’t wait to get started!”

Liqui Moly Beta Racing Team manager Carlen Gardner added: “We are very pleased to be working with Colt for the next two years. He is an excellent representative on and off the track and fits in perfectly with our Beta Family. Colt, getting the Rookie of the Year award in the 450 class, proved he has great potential in the premier class, and we look to carry that momentum going into 2024.

“It was very important to us to find two riders such as Colt and Benny to lead the way as Beta gets into Supercross racing. See everyone at A1!”

Nichols, the 2021 250SX East champion, competed with Team Honda HRC in his maiden 450SX campaign this year and claimed a best result of fourth in Nashville on his way to 14th in the final standings after sitting out multiple rounds.

He is currently contesting the World Supercross Championship (WSX) with Rick Ware Racing onboard Kawasaki machinery, completing the WSX British Grand Prix P8 on debut. He was also 10th in a Pro Motocross cameo at Washougal, which will be instrumental in him entering the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) post-season inside the top 20.
