SMX points-leader's return to Pro Motocross yet to be defined.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has announced Cooper Webb will sit out RedBud’s fifth round of the 2023 Pro Motocross Championship after being ‘banged up’ in a practice crash earlier this week.
A short statement from the team confirmed that the two-time 450SX and former 250MX champion has been ruled out, without indicating a potential return date.
Webb finished third in the Monster Energy Supercross Championship this year and currently sits in that same position outdoors, the 27-year-old leading the inaugural SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) standings with seven rounds of 450MX remaining.
Despite Webb being out, the Red Bull KTM team will have Aaron Plessinger on-track in the premier class, as well as Maximus Vohland and two-time MX2 world champion Tom Vialle in the 250 category.
