Will mark the first race of 2023 for Kawasaki rider following wrist injury.
After missing the majority of the 2023 season so far with a wrist injury, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Seth Hammaker has set a target of returning at the RedBud round of Pro Motocross.
Hammaker, 22, suffered a broken arm and left scaphoid bone in the lead-up to the 250SX East opener in Houston and required surgery to repair the damage.
“Little late, but I’m back on the bike getting ready for some racing,” Hammaker confirmed this week. “My wrist is feeling good and I’m having a blast being back on the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki.
“Jacob Martin (mechanic) has been killing it like usual and making sure everything is top-notch. If all keeps progressing well, the plan will be to return to racing at RedBud! Thanks to the team and everyone in my corner for the hard work.”
Hammaker ranked seventh in last year’s 250MX standings, where he finished inside the top 10 eight times with a season-best sixth place on three separate occasions, including High Point, Washougal and the second stop at Fox Raceway.
The 2023 Pro Motocross Championship returns on 1 July at the famed Michigan circuit following the first of two scheduled weekends off this season.
