British grand prix date also changes on 2023 calendar.
The 2023 Motocross World Championship schedule will see a location change, with the MXGP of Finland originally set to take place at Hyvinkaa on 29-30 July now heading to the Lavanko circuit in Vantaa.
Vantaa is the same track that played host to last year’s Junior Motocross World Championship, with the circuit situated close to the capital city of Helsinki.
The MXGP of Finland will feature the premier MXGP and MX2 classes, alongside the European championship EMX125 and EMX250 categories.
In addition to the changes, the final round of the series at Matterly Basin, originally scheduled for 1 October, will now take place on 23-24 September and will feature the MXGP, MX2, EMX250 and EMX125 classes.
After nine rounds, Jorge Prado (Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing) currently leads the MXGP World Championship with 453 points, with Andrea Adamo (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) leading the MX2 championship with 405 points.
