Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki fill-in Chris Blose continues to make steady progress with the team in 250SX East, confident to ‘be in the hunt for a top-five finish soon’ after improving to seventh-place in Daytona’s main.

Blose received a late call to join the program with regulars Jo Shimoda and Seth Hammaker injured less than two weeks out from the opener in Houston.

Across the four Eastern regional rounds contested so far, Blose has improved in terms of position towards the front as P7 in Daytona highlighted his best finish main event of the season to date, despite a tip-over in the sand section. The KX250 rider is eager to continue his forward momentum, with a top-five result the next target.

“Even though I’ve only been with the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team for a short amount of time, I feel like I’m starting to find my stride and confidence,” Blose explained. “From the start of the first practice to the main event, I felt extremely comfortable on the KX250 and that showed in my riding tonight.

“Even with a tip-over in the sand section during the main I was still able to move up the field and finish in seventh, my best result of the season so far. I’m looking forward to another week of practice with the team and feel like we can be in the hunt for a top-five finish soon.”

With six rounds remaining in the series, Blose is ninth in the title-race with 53 points as Supercross moves to Indianapolis this Saturday.
