Following a standout 450SX debut at Daytona, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s RJ Hampshire has confirmed he will race-on in the premier class this Saturday at Indianapolis.

With the 250SX West region on break, Hampshire used the opportunity to gain experience in the 450 category at Daytona, impressing to win his first heat race in the class and later racing to a solid eighth in the main event.

With his next outing in the 250 class not until 23 March at Lumen Field, Seattle, Hampshire has now stated he will continue in 450SX at round nine, set to get more laps under his belt competing at the highest level of Supercross.

Hampshire’s revelation means Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s premier-class effort will remain at two riders alongside Christian Craig, with regular Malcolm Stewart sidelined for an extended duration following knee surgery.

The number 24 is currently second in the 250SX West standings, delivering gutsy performances to be 20-points adrift of red plate-holder Jett Lawrence (Team Honda HRC) with five races remaining.
