Injury forces KX250 debutant out of Oakland this Saturday.
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki debut of Carson Mumford has been delayed until the Seattle round of 250SX West, the KX250 rider tending to an undisclosed injury and will miss Oakland this Saturday as a result.
Mumford was named as the effective replacement for the injured Austin Forkner, the former BarX Suzuki rider initially slated to compete in 250SX East this year onboard an RM-Z250 after breaking his wrist last December.
The opportunity to join the famed Kawasaki outfit marked a change in Mumford’s plans, with his first competitive outing with the team initially set for this Saturday at the postponed round at RingCentral Coliseum. The latest revelation means his debut with the squad will now take place five weeks from now, at Lumen Field on 25 March.
“We’re looking forward to Oakland, but we’ll be without Carson Mumford for this round while he tends to an injury,” Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki shared. “He’ll make his debut in Seattle. We’ll still have the other CM on the team Cameron McAdoo.”
McAdoo is set to be the sole representative for the team in the quarter-liter class this weekend, and is currently second in the points race to Team Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence.
