KX250 rider preparing to take to the gate this Saturday in Houston.
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki has named longstanding Supercross contender Chris Blose as a fill-in to compete in the 250SX East Championship.
The outfit faced a race against time of sorts to contest the quarter-liter class from Houston after Jo Shimoda recently joined teammate Seth Hammaker on the injury list, both preparing to compete for the East Coast crown.
The announcement sees Blose remain Kawasaki mounted after delivering a solid World Supercross Championship (WSX) last year with Bud Racing where he notched third overall in SX2, later earning P2 at the 2022 Supercross de Paris in the 250 category.
“It’s an honor to be gearing up to race with the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team,” said Blose. “I’ve seen the success of the team firsthand throughout my career and I’m really looking forward to going racing with their support.
“While Houston SX is coming up fast, I’ve had a lot of comfort on the KX250 recently so the bike is familiar and we should be competitive right out of the gate.”
Blose – who made his AMA pro debut in 2006 and is a former Australian SX2 champion – has begun working with the team ahead of the 250SX East championship commencing this Saturday in Houston.
