One round less than previous years to make way for SMX series.
The complete 2023 Pro Motocross Championship schedule is out now, set to reduce to 11 rounds in making way for the new SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) events.
Notably unveiled without longtime title sponsor Lucas Oil branding, Pro Motocross will commence at Fox Raceway on 27 May and the final round will move to Ironman in late August.
Pala will host a single round next season after book-ending the outdoors this year, which effectively opens the doors for SMX to introduce a three-round championship in the post-season.
SMX is a powerful alliance between Feld Motor Sports and outdoor promoter MX Sports, which will see Supercross and Pro Motocross come together as one for the first time in the sport’s history next year.
Following Monster Energy AMA Supercross between January-May, the sport will enter the outdoor phase with Pro Motocross until late August and then conclude with a three-round SMX playoff/final series.
