Latest announcement reduces 2022 championship to 18 rounds.
The 2022 MXGP World Championship finals will take place in Turkey following the cancellation of round 19 at Mussanah, Oman which was scheduled for 10 September.
As a result, the series is now reduced to 18 rounds and will conclude at Afyonkarahisar on 4 September, with Infront Moto Racing to work closely with the organiser to enable the series to visit Oman in the future.
Mussanah’s postponement marks the third event to be removed from this year’s MXGP calendar, after the cancellation of the Russian GP and the MXGP of Jakarta.
13 rounds of the 2022 MXGP World Championship have already been completed, with Tim Gajser and Jago Geerts holding the red plate in MXGP and MX2 respectively.
