Husqvarna talent eager to keep RedBud momentum rolling.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Stilez Robertson scored a career-first 250MX podium at RedBud and is determined to complete the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season entirely after past attempts have been plagued with injury.
Robertson signed with the team in 2020 to make his professional debut and has continued to show grit to bounce back from crashes and complications that have brought a premature end to past championship attempts.
With 2022 being a ‘contract’ year for the 20-year-old, he delivered his strongest overall result to date outdoors with third in Michigan, courtesy of 3-5 results, and sits eighth in the championship after five rounds.
“For sure I want to keep it going [momentum], the injuries have sucked obviously but it is part of the sport that we choose,” Robertson explained.
“But yeah, just want to keep it going, RedBud has obviously been one of my favourite tracks and Southwick I like a lot, it’s kind of what we ride at Aldon’s [Baker’s Factory], really soft there, we run a paddle all of the time and he literally has to force us to take it off.
“I just want to keep it going, even if it’s not podiums, just some top-fives. Obviously, I want to be on the box and I want to keep moving forward, but my main goal this year is just to finish this season, I haven’t finished a season yet and that’s really what I want to do.”
