Extent of injuries revealed by seasoned campaigner.
A crash leading into round six of 2022 Monster Energy Supercross at Anaheim 3 saw Josh Hill sustain a dislocated hip and fractured pelvis, which will cause him to be sidelined for an extended period.
Hill was called in as a replacement rider for Monster Energy Team Tedder KTM after Benny Bloss was ruled out in the pre-season, successfully qualifying for the main event from rounds two to four with a best result of 18th.
“Yesterday was one of those days,” Hill confirmed. “Ended up with a dislocated hip and a fractured pelvis, but knowing I’m going to miss some races is what hurts most.
“I have been having so much fun being back racing and working with every at Team Tedder… I felt like I was improving every time I touched the bike. Can’t thank everyone enough for the support.”
The injuries mark a devastating blow to the likeable Oregon rider’s return – the amount of time the number 751 will have to spend on the sidelines not yet confirmed. It wasn’t clear how long Hill was scheduled to fill-in for.
