New-look 2022 Pro Motocross schedule uncovered
50th anniversary season to feature 12 rounds across 10 states.
The 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross schedule has been uncovered, MX Sports Pro Racing unveiling a 12-round championship across 10 states to commemorate the championship’s 50th anniversary.
Commencing on 28 May, Fox Raceway will again be the season-opening venue in Southern California before the series moves to Hangtown on 4 June, Thunder Valley on 11 June then High Point on 18 June for the first month of competition.
The first of two breaks will then occur before riders and teams return on 2 July for the RedBud national in Michigan, before reaching the halfway point of the championship at the Southwick National on 9 July.
Kick-starting the second half of the season is the Spring Creek National on 16 July, before the series returns west on 23 July for the Washougal National.
Following the championship’s final break, action will continue at Unadilla on 13 August before heading just outside the nation’s capital to Budds Creek on 20 August.
The penultimate round of Pro Motocross will take place on 27 August at Ironman, before the series returns to Fox Raceway for the championship finals on 3 September.
Australia’s Jett Lawrence and France’s Dylan Ferrandis will enter Fox Raceway 1 with the red plate in 250MX and 450MX respectively, off the back of a historic 2021 season where international riders captured both championships.
