Star Racing Yamaha rider hoping to line up at Unadilla.
After further evaluation, Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha’s Colt Nichols has been cleared of any injury ahead of Unadilla but is taking it ‘day by day’ on whether he will line up.
Nichols hit the ground in an incident in the second moto of round seven of the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, with a subsequent shoulder injury causing a DNF.
He provided an update on Tuesday following a visit to the doctor, stating he was still unsure if he was lining up for round eight this weekend at Unadilla.
“Just wanted to give everyone an update, went to the doctor this week and got everything checked out,” Nichols explained. “Seem to be all good just a little beat up and bruised.
“Gonna take it day by day and see what we can do. Hopefully feeling better and can line up at Unadilla, but we’ll keep you updated.”
After finishing 15th overall at Washougal, Nichols now sits Seventh overall in the championship standings.
