After a rough go at Southwick, Max Anstie made progress with the Twisted Tea HEP Suzuki team at Spring Creek to notch his best overall finish of the 2021 Pro Motocross season.

After back-to-back 16th places and mounting frustration, Anstie cracked the top 10 in a moto for the first time this season, eventually notching 9-11 scores on the day for 11th overall.

“Here at Millville we did well. I think we made some progress,” Anstie explained. “I’m happy with my performance today. In the second moto I was riding well, and I actually tipped over, then I came back to 11th, which was okay.”

Despite the second moto blunder, progress with the bike outweighed any negatives that happened on track as Anstie continues to search for his first overall top 10 of the season after taking five last season.

“We’ve been searching, we’ve made a few steps, and we’re definitely on the right track and closer – closer to being in that race [at the front],” he continued. “We’re looking forward to Washougal next week and we’re going to give it to ’em there.”

The series now heads to Washougal for round seven this Saturday, a place where Anstie took his first top 10 in the 250MX class back in 2009.
