The field is set for round 12 of the Supercross series in Arlington.
The final qualifying sessions for the year in Arlington are done and dusted, with Chase Sexton topping the 450SX timesheets and Justin Cooper on top of 250SX West qualifying.
The 450SX times were tight as the action got going for round 12 of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross championship, as the track provided plenty of rhythm options for riders to choose from to grab the fastest time.
As the clock ran out in the second qualifying session, class rookie Chase Sexton (Team Honda HRC) found his way to the top of the timesheets, logging the fastest lap of the day at 48.143s.
Defending series champion and podium finisher from Tuesday, Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki) ended the session second place. After leading the first session, Ken Roczen (Team Honda HRC) rounded out the top three on the day.
Fourth fastest was Dean Wilson who’s continuing his impressive momentum as of late, with points leader Cooper Webb (Red Bull KTM) taking the final spot in the top five.
Malcolm Stewart brought his Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha home in sixth, with a fastest time of 48.630s, followed by Jason Anderson on his Rockstar Energy Husqvarna.
Justin Barcia (TLD Red Bull GasGas) was eighth while Dylan Ferrandis (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha) took ninth as the first rider in the 49s range.
The final spot in the top 10 went to Joey Savatgy (Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KTM), while unfortunately, his teammate Justin Bogle crashed hard in untimed practice and will sit out the race tonight.
Continuing his dominance in 250SX West qualifying, Justin Cooper found his way to the top of the leader board late in the second session with a 49.093s lap. Cooper has now led every qualifying session so far this season.
Cameron McAdoo (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) was second place with a 49.318s lap and was followed by his teammates Seth Hammaker and Jordon Smith in third and fourth.
The current championship points leader Hunter Lawrence put his red-plated Team Honda HRC bike in fifth on the heels of his win on Tuesday.
Garrett Marchbanks (ClubMX Yamaha) was the first rider in the 50s range in sixth, followed by Kyle Peters (Phoenix Honda) in seventh. Eighth went to Muc-Off Honda’s Mitchell Harrison.
Ninth went to Jalek Swoll (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) after grabbing the first podium of his career on Tuesday, with Jarrett Frye (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha) taking the final spot in the top 10.
