As qualifying came to a close at AT&T Stadium in Arlington it was Eli Tomac topping the 450SX class with Justin Cooper setting the fastest lap in the 250SX West class.

Bouncing back from an eighth-place finish at Arlington 1 to top qualifying at Arlington 2 was Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki). Tomac was fastest in both sessions and was the only rider to put himself in the 50s range, his 50.903s lap setting the benchmark for the field.

Second place went was Saturday’s second-place finisher Justin Barcia (TLD Red Bull GasGas) who was just 0.283s off Tomac’s time. After a heavy crash in the whoops ended his first qualifying session early, red plate holder Cooper Webb (Red Bull KTM) returned to the track for the second round of qualifying to take the final spot in the top three.

Fourth was Team Honda HRC’s Ken Roczen with a 51.434s lap and rounding out the top five was Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna). Sixth was Chase Sexton (Team Honda HRC), with Joey Savatgy (Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KTM) being the first rider in the 52s range in seventh.

Eighth went to Dylan Ferrandis (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha), who crashed hard ending his second qualifying session early. It’s unclear if Ferrandis will return this evening when racing gets underway.

The final two spots in the top ten went to Malcolm Stewart (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha) and Dean Wilson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna).

Hunter Lawrence (Team Honda HRC) and Garrett Marchbanks (ClubMX Yamaha) had solid qualifying sessions, the duo finding themselves rounding out the top five. Sixth was Jalek Swoll who was the first rider in the 53s range, with rookie Nate Thrasher in seventh, carrying momentum from his first top 10 finish on Saturday.

The final three spots in the top ten went to Kyle Peters (Phoenix Honda), Jordon Bailey (Yamaha) and Chris Blose (GasGas). Notable riders outside of the top 10 were Alex Martin (Yamaha) who was 13th, and Stilez Robertson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) who was just behind him in 14th.
