Jason Anderson feels he made improvements throughout the day at the first of two Supercross rounds at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

After a season-best finish at round six in Indianapolis, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider headed to Orlando looking to improve as the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross series hit the track for round seven.

While the 2018 450SX champion didn’t match or better his result on Saturday, he was happy with his progress on the day after an eighth-place finish.

“It was an improvement all around for me today,” Anderson explained. “My practices were better and my racing was quite a bit better, so If I could get a start it would help my results.”

Anderson worked his way through the field following a 12th place start, finding his way to the back of Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki) ready to battle for fifth place.

“In the main event, I got up there after a not-so-good start and got behind Tomac in sixth but I came together with someone, it was more my fault than anything and dropped back but we’ll move on to next week and keep progressing.”

Supercross action continues this Saturday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, the final round before a two-week break in the series.
