The two-time 250SX champ looks to rebound after rough start to 2021.
Zach Osborne is looking to rebound after a rough start to the season, as the 2021 Supercross series heads to Orlando.
After finishing in 10th place for the third time this season, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider heads to round seven of the season just ninth in the points standings. He’s shown flashes of what he’s capable of throughout the opening six rounds, but has yet to put it all together in the main event.
At the first round in Indy, Osborne charged from deep in the field after hitting the starting gate to finish fifth, his best result of the season. He was confident following the race and it looked like he had the pace to run at the front going forward.
“In the Main Event, I went a little too early and hit the gate.” he said following round four. “I pulled it back and set my sights on getting far as I could, and I was able to make it all the way up to fifth. It was a solid night and solid result considering all of the challenges.”
At round five though he wasn’t able to make as many moves toward the front, as he pushed his way to seventh and would end the night there. A decent start at round six put him inside the top 10 early on, but he was never able to push forward and would finish the night rounding out the top 10.
“It was a little bit of a tough night,” Osborne said following the race. “I didn’t get a start in the main and it wasn’t one of my best rides of the season.”
With the next round taking place just down the road from The Bakers Factory in Orlando, Osborne will have an opportunity to get some vital testing in after a whirlwind of a start to the 2021 season.
“Back to the drawing board this week, I have a few things I would like to really work on and focus on to be better for next weekend in Orlando.”
