Full-time 450SX debut to be delayed following untimely injury.
New Smartop Bullfrog Spas MotoConcepts Honda signing Shane McElrath’s full-time 450SX debut will be delayed after injuring his shoulder and being sidelined for Houston.
McElrath, 26, has confirmed that he suffered a grade three AC separation in his right shoulder and will now take time to recover prior to his first appearance of 2021.
After finishing runner-up in 250SX East last season, McElrath’s move into the premier class has been one of the intriguing storylines entering Monster Energy Supercross, which will commence next Saturday, 16 January.
MotoConcepts has signed an expanded four-rider roster for this year, including the returning Vince Friese on the latest CRF450R, while McElrath, Broc Tickle and Benny Bloss have all signed to ride the race-developed 2020 model.
