Rocky Mountain KTM WPS’s Blake Baggett set the pace in final Monster Energy Supercross qualifying at Utah, with Justin Cooper leading the way upon the return of 250SX West.

Baggett’s 44.704s lap-time put him ahead of Ken Roczen (Team Honda HRC) by two-tenths, with Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki) third.

After topping the opening session, Cooper Webb (Red Bull KTM) wound up fourth this afternoon ahead of Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna), who completed the top five.

The first 250SX West round since San Diego in February resulted in Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha rider Cooper leading the way with a benchmark of 45.705s.

Cooper was a tenth up on teammate and defending champion Dylan Ferrandis, with Australian teenager Jett Lawrence (Geico Honda) immediately getting back down to business in P3.

Second of the Geico Hondas, Christian Craig was fourth, with Austin Forkner (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) fifth. Forkner got together with debutant Hunter Lawrence (Geico Honda) in the session, the latter ninth overall.

It’s currently Ferrandis who leads the 250SX West championship following six rounds, seven points clear of Cooper, with Forkner a further six behind in third position.
